O propósito deste artigo é analisar a interação entre o papel da Corte Internacional de Arbitragem da Câmara de Comércio Internacional e as provisões dos arts. II e III da Convenção de Nova Iorque. A extensa experiência da Corte Internacional de Arbitragem da CCI na administração de procedimentos arbitrais por todo o mundo oferece um vasto panorama da aplicação prática da Convenção de Nova Iorque. Doravante, segue que a análise da prática da Corte da CCI permitiria que identificássemos algumas tendências comuns na aplicação atual dos arts. II e III da Convenção de Nova Iorque.
