Abstract: This paper celebrates the 50th anniversary of UNCITRAL in 2017. It presents the Commission’s legacy worldwide by the development of normative work in the field of dispute resolution, mainly regarding the New York Convention and arbitration rules, Model Law and further recent works. The article also briefly presents the UNCITRAL work and its legacy over the past years, before looking at the projects that are already on the agenda of UNCITRAL, or may deserve attention in the years ahead in the specific field of dispute resolution
